“Islamic cooperation” emphasizes the importance of unifying the efforts of its members in combating terrorism and extremism

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) has confirmed that the current challenges faced by some Member States in the face of terrorist threats continue to call for continued efforts to address this phenomenon, which threatens the security of societies.

The Director of Voice of Wisdom in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Bashir Ansari, said during the speech of the Secretariat at the opening of the third symposium on the definition of the efforts of Member States in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism in the headquarters of the Organization today to highlight the successful models in the fight against terrorism and extremism through the definition of the efforts of Member States Among the most effective and effective methods in the fight against terrorism, stressing that there is an urgent need to integrate these experiences, not compete.

The seminar reviewed the experiences of Egypt, Morocco and others in the fight against violent extremism and terrorism in order to familiarize them with these experiences and to disseminate many effective and useful policies and programs among the Member States.

The Voice of Wisdom Center is planning to invite all Member States to present their experiences and programs in combating the phenomenon of terrorism and extremism, which is disturbing the peace and economics of the Islamic countries and distort the image of the true Islam which came to spread the message of peace between peoples and cultures.

The Secretariat, represented by the Voice of Wisdom Center, is seeking to intensify the holding of seminars and consultations to discuss ways to combat terrorism by creating partnerships between international and regional organizations and relevant government centers.
