Two Ukrainian servicemen killed, 2 others injured in mine explosion in Luhansk region – JFO

Two Ukrainian servicemen were killed and two others injured in the blast of a mine while transferring to an observation post of a platoon strongpoint in the area of the town of Schastya in the Luhansk Region on Sunday, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said.

“Two servicemen hit an unidentified explosive device, which was planted by the enemy subversive group, today, at about 8:25 a.m., while travelling to an observation post of the platoon post in the area of the town of Schastya. Servicemen suffered lethal injuries in the mine explosion and died at the scene of the blast,” the JFO press center said on its Facebook page.

Two other servicemen were injured in the explosion, and they were brought to the city hospital. The injured are in a fair condition.

As reported, the truce in the Donetsk and the Luhansk regions was to begin at 00:01 a.m. on Sunday, July 21. The truce agreement was reached at a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group for the settlement of the Donbas crisis on July 17. No shell attacks have been recorded since midnight, according to the morning report of the JFO headquarters.
