Level 3 Hurricane Hong Boto sweeps through the power outage in half of Bermuda

Level 3 Hurricane Humberto (Hiberto) brought strong winds and heavy rains in Bermuda tonight, blowing off the wires, causing half of the Atlantic Islands to fall into a dark.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the Category 3 Hurricane Hampoo has a wind speed of 193 kilometers per hour, and the wind speed is increased in the afternoon, moving at a speed of 31 kilometers per hour. The Hurricane Center is expected to pass just northwest and north of Bermuda, but the strong winds of the hurricane level will hit Bermuda tonight, bringing 150 millimeters of rain and possibly a storm.

According to the power company Belco, more than 27,000 homes and businesses have been out of power as of the evening. Several flights were cancelled, and some residents of Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda, installed wooden panels and metal sheets on the windows.

At the speed of Hung Pakto’s travel and the deterioration of weather conditions, Bermuda officials warned residents to avoid going out and prepare for possible tornadoes.

James Dodgson, director of the Bermuda Weather Service, said the weather has started to turn bad and the wind will reach the intensity of the hurricane.

He said at the press conference: “I can’t even rule out the possibility of a sporadic tornado… The hurricane with a very powerful power moves toward our north. The situation is very serious.”
